Former Golden Ram Peterson Tabbed Next Head Coach at DIII Immaculata UniversityWEST CHESTER, Pa.- Former West Chester softball standout, Alexa Peterson, has entered the NCAA Softball head coaching ranks after accepting a position as the head coach at Division III Immaculata University. Immaculata is just outside of nearby Malvern, Pennsylvania.
Softball Announces Hayley Tamaro as New Top Assistant CoachWEST CHESTER, Pa.- West Chester University softball head coach Diane Lokey announced the hiring of Hayley Tamaro as the Golden Rams top assistant coach ahead of the start of the 2025-26 season. Tamaro replaces Meredith McCalister, who was Lokey's top assistant for the 2024-25 season. Tamaro is expected to help oversee the Golden Rams pitching staff when she begins her role with the team in August.
- Softball Earns EASTON/NFCA Team Academic Award; 21 Golden Rams Recognized as Scholar AthletesLOUISVILLE, Ky.- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its 2024-25 Easton/NFCA Team GPA rankings and All-American Scholar Athlete honors on Thursday afternoon. West Chester was well represented once again, earning a spot on the team GPA list with a 3.637 team GPA, which ranks among the top-35 programs in Division II, while 21 Golden Rams earned Individual honors.

- Ciliberto Named to PhillySIDA Academic All-Area Softball TeamPHILADELPHIA- The Philadelphia Sports Information Directors Association (PhillySIDA) released its softball Academic All-Area squad on Thursday afternoon, and Danielle Ciliberto (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) picked up her second Academic honor of the Spring after earning Collegiate Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors in late May.

- Five Golden Rams Land on CSC Academic All-District SquadWEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Collegiate Sports Communicators (CSC) released its Academic All-District teams on Tuesday afternoon and West Chester had five players honored as Danielle Ciliberto (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon), Paige Marabell (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock), Hailey Melvin (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca), Mairead Hopkins (West Chester, Pa./Rustin), and Casey Best (Wilmington, Del./Concord) were honored for their efforts on the field and in the classroom.

- Marabell Named D2CCA Second Team All-RegionBLOOMSBURG, Pa.- The Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) released its Softball All-Region teams on Monday afternoon, and sophomore catcher Paige Marabell (Tunkhannock, Pa./Tunkhannock) was named Second Team All-Region.

- Hopkins Home Run Lifts Fifth-Seeded Softball to 5-4 Victory over Bowie StateSTROUDSBURG, Pa.- Casey Best (Wilmington, Del./Concord) hit a pair of two-run home runs to tie the game at 4-4 and Mairead Hopkins (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) walked it off for the fifth-seeded West Chester University softball team () as the Golden Rams stormed back for a 5-4 victory over an upset-minded Bowie State () squad on Saturday morning in a resumption of a game that began late on Friday night.

- Softball vs Bowie State Suspended Due to Darkness Entering Fourth Inning; Bowie State Leads 3-0STROUDSBURG, Pa.- After a day of delays and an extra-inning game between East Stroudsburg and Shippensburg, which the Raiders won in walk-off fashion for the second day in a row, the West Chester University softball team got its first elimination game of the weekend underway against Bowie State just after 7 p.m. on Friday. West Chester and Bowie State completed three innings on Friday night before darkness fully set in and suspended play with the Bulldogs holding a 3-0 lead heading into the fourth.
