- Women's Golf Readies for PSAC Championships This WeekendKUTZTOWN, Pa.- The West Chester University women's golf team is finishing its preparations for the 2024 edition of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships, which are set to be held once again at Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. The 54-hole Tournament is slated to get underway on Friday morning and will conclude with the third round on Sunday.
- Women's Golf Competes at ESU Spring InvitationalSTROUDSBURG, Pa.- The West Chester University women's golf team returned to the course for its final Tournament of the regular season on Saturday afternoon at Glen Brook Golf Club for the ESU Spring Invitational. Although complete results were not immediately available, West Chester placed third on the team leaderboard, trailing only Kutztown (323) and Millersville (324) for the top two spots, led by an 80 by Cierra Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring-Ford) as all six Golden Rams competing shot 85 or better on Saturday afternoon.
- Women's Golf Places Second at Bloomsburg Husky Spring InvitationalDANVILLE, Pa.- Josephine Genuardi (Harleysville, Pa./William Penn Charter) fired an 85 to finish in a tie for fifth and lead a trio of Golden Rams in the top-10 at the Bloomsburg Husky Spring Invitational at Frosty Valley in Danville on Thursday afternoon. Genuardi was joined in the top-10 by the freshman duo of Morgan Kunze (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford) and Cierra Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring-Ford) as the three helped West Chester finish second in the team standings with a 345, just three strokes back of team champion, Alvernia.
- Women's Golf Finishes Second at Millersville Spring Invitational; Vanderhorst Places Second IndividuallyQUARRYVILLE, Pa.- Kirsten Vanderhorst (Gambrills, Md./Bishop McNamara) shot an 11-over 83 to finish second individually and helped lead the West Chester University women's golf team to a second-place finish at the Millersville Spring Invitational at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club in Quarryville on Saturday afternoon. Vanderhorst was one of three Golden Rams in the top 10 and one of two in the top five as Cierra Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring-Ford) shot an 86 (+14) to finish fourth, while Josephine Genuardi (Harleysville, Pa./William Penn) was ninth with an 89 (+17). West Chester finished with a team score of 351, just six strokes back of team champion Millersville, led by individual Champion Charley Kirby, who fired a 10-over 82 to claim the title.
- Women's Golf Finishes Second at Marauder Invitational; Kunze Finishes in Tie for Second IndividuallyLEBANON, Pa.- Morgan Kunze (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford) signed for a two-day score of 167 (+23; 80, 87) to lead West Chester on the individual leaderboard and help guide the Golden Rams to a second-place finish on the team leaderboard at the Marauder Invitational at Iron Valley Golf Club on Monday afternoon. West Chester shot a 347 in both the first and second rounds at the Invitational, as Margaux Solis (Houston, Tx./Klein) joined Kunze in the top-10 on the individual leaderboard as scorers for West Chester. Josephine Genuardi (Harleysville, Pa./William Penn) also finished in the top-five, finishing fourth with a 36-hole score of 168 (+24; 87, 81), competing as an individual.
- Kunze Leads Women's Golf After First Round of Marauder InvitationalLEBANON, Pa.- Morgan Kunze (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford) shot an eight-over 80 to sit in second place individually and lead the West Chester University women's golf team in the opening round of the Marauder Invitational at Iron Valley Golf Club on Sunday afternoon. West Chester shot a 347 in the opening round. A complete team leaderboard was not immediately available at the conclusion of play on Sunday afternoon.
- Second Round of Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational Cancelled Due to RainWEST CHESTER, Pa.- Due to rain and course conditions, the second round of the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational, scheduled for an 8 a.m. shotgun start, has been canceled. The results from the opening round will serve as the final results.
- Women's Golf Third After Opening Round of Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell InvitationalWEST CHESTER, Pa.- Madilyn Siuta (Coopersburg, Pa./Quakertown) fired an opening-round 78 (+8) on Monday afternoon to sit in a tie for first atop the individual leaderboard after the first round of the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational at Penn Oaks Golf Club in West Chester. Siuta is one of two Golden Rams in the top five on the individual leaderboard as she is joined by Kirsten Vanderhorst (Gambrills, Md./Bishop McNamara), who is tied for third after shooting a nine-over 79 to open the Tournament. Thanks in large part to the outstanding opening round by Vanderhorst, West Chester is currently third on the team leaderboard, just five strokes back of California (Pa.) with a team score of 339 (+59) after the opening round.
- Kunze Named PSAC Women's Golf Athlete of the WeekLOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) released its women's golf weekly awards on Wednesday afternoon and freshman Morgan Kunze (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford) was named PSAC East Athlete of the Week after a victory in the Vulcan Fire Classic earlier this week.
- Women's Golf Wins Vulcan Fire Classic; Kunze Claims Individual CrownWASHINGTON, Pa.- Morgan Kunze (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford) shot a nine-over 81 in the second round of the Vulcan Fire Classic at Lone Pine Country Club on Tuesday afternoon to capture the Individual Tournament title and help lead West Chester to the Team Tournament crown with a two-day score of 706 (357, 349).
