WEST CHESTER, Pa.-The Delaware County Sports Hall of Fame has selected its latest group of esteemed athletes with ties to Delaware County for its 2025 Hall of Fame Class. Among the inductees is legendary football coach Bill Zwaan, who led the Golden Rams for 21 seasons until his retirement at the end of the 2023 season. Zwaan will enter the Delaware County Sports Hall of Fame on Sunday, April 27 alongside Karen Emas Borbee, Jim Connor, Peggy Cellucci, Elizabeth Curran, Rocco Fantazzi, Jen Freemas, Gene Fieger, Casey Grugan, Cynthia Howard, Barry Kirsch, Kristen Mastroprieto, Ed Monaghan, and Don Saleski.

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The Collegiate Sports Communicators released its Division II football Academic All-District squad on Tuesday afternoon. West Chester had two players honored in 2024 as Jack Fry (Norristown, Pa./Archbishop Carroll) and Shane Mosley (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) were recognized by the Association.

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The West Chester University men's tennis team wrapped up its fall slate on Tuesday afternoon vs non-conference foe and East Region power St. Thomas Aquinas on a beautiful fall afternoon on South Campus. WEST CHESTER, Pa.- Former West Chester University Cross Country and Track and Field Coach and Athletics Hall of Famer, Bill Butler '54, passed away earlier this week in West Chester. He was 92.

Alyson Cutter (Warrington, Pa./C.B. South) and Jacqueline Graham (Toms River, N.J./Toms River North) joined Haughey and Matter on the Second and Third teams, respectively.

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- Susana Ungo-Quero (Madrid, Spain) was a double winner, while Danielle Stewart (Dover, Del./Caesar Rodney) and Sam Trumble (Dallastown, Pa./Dallastown) picked up event victories of their own but it was not enough to lead the West Chester University women's swimming and diving team (2-2) to a victory over Delaware on Friday night as the Blue Hens escaped West Chester with a 152-91 victory.

WEST CHESTER, Pa.- With the calendar now officially turned to 2025, the West Chester University women's track and field team is preparing for its first Meet Day of the New Year on Saturday as the Golden Rams are scheduled to compete at the Alvernia Winter Invitational on Saturday morning inside the Flynn Plex Athletic Center at Alvernia. The 2025 edition of the Alvernia Winter Invitational will see field events begin at 10 a.m. with track events getting underway at 10:30 beginning with the 4x800 relays. All events will follow a rolling schedule.
