Men's Golf Captures Sixth PSAC Championship; First Since 2018LEBANON, Pa.- With a final round of 297, the West Chester University men's golf team captured its sixth PSAC Championship in team history and its first since 2018, finishing the Tournament with a 54-hole score of 891 (295, 299, 297; 891). This Championship, aside from being the Golden Rams' first under head coach Chris Merce and the first since 2018, also punches the Golden Rams' ticket to the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championships in May, as the Golden Rams finished the Tournament four strokes clear of Pitt-Johnstown (895) and nine strokes clear of 2024 Champion Gannon (900).
- Fifth-ranked West Chester Downs Mansfield, 3-2MANSFIELD, PA – Veerle Hersman (Lisse, The Netherlands) scored two goals, and Gianna Funari added the game-winner with five minutes left in the game to lift fifth-ranked West Chester to a 3-2 victory over Mansfield at Karl van Norman Field Saturday afternoon.

- Men's Basketball Falls to #3 Virginia State in Opening Round of NCAA Tournament, 80-64WEST LIBERTY, W.Va.- Playing in its first NCAA Tournament since 2019, the sixth-seeded West Chester University men's basketball team (23-7) was back in action on Saturday afternoon vs third-seeded Virginia State (22-8). Taking on the CIAA Tournament Champion Trojans on a neutral court for the first time in program history, West Chester trailed by 13 at the half and, despite a valiant second-half comeback, fell by an 80-64 final.

West Chester took an early one-goal lead into the halftime break, but Shippensburg tied the game early in the second half and earned a 1-1 draw against the Golden Rams on David See Field on Saturday afternoon.

West Chester wrapped up its fall with its fourth invitational win of the season with a two-day score of 653 (325, 328) after shooting a 328 in the second round to finish well clear of Stevenson in second place with a 724 (365, 359).

Tamaro is expected to help oversee the Golden Rams pitching staff when she begins her role with the team in August.
