- Lukomski-Pizzo Takes 17th in Discus at NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field ChampionshipsPUEBLO, Col. – Derrick Lukomski Pizzo (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North) was back in action on Friday evening at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field National Championships at Colorado State-Pueblo. Lukomski-Pizzo, the PSAC Discus Champion and WCU program record holder, competed in the discus on Friday night in Colorado.

The Championships return to Colorado State-Pueblo in 2025 and will be contested beginning on Thursday, May 22, with competition concluding on Saturday, May 24.

Thanks to a strong first two days and an excellent show of depth on day three, West Chester finished fifth in the team standings with 64 points on the weekend, marking the Golden Rams first top-five team finish at the PSAC Championships since 2007 when the Golden Rams scored 88 points. Since that time, the Golden Rams best finish at the Championships were a pair of sixth-place finishes in 2014 and 2015.
