West Chester battled throughout the afternoon and applied heavy pressure to the Kutztown defense late in the second half, but the Golden Rams were denied the chance for their consecutive PSAC Championship as the Golden Bears scored midway through the second half to escape Rockwell with a narrow 1-0 victory.

Lucas Henke (Rockwall, Tx./Rockwall Heath) and Voyin Markovic (Berwyn, Pa./Conestoga) teamed up to win their match at third doubles by a 7-5 final and Sam Robertson (Reading, Pa./Berks Catholic) claimed his sixth singles match by a 7-6, 6-1 final but this was as close as West Chester would come to pulling an upset as the Spartans earned a 6-1 victory over the Golden Rams.

- Softball Earns EASTON/NFCA Team Academic Award; 16 Golden Rams Recognized as Scholar AthletesLOUISVILLE, K.Y.- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its 2023-24 EASTON/NFCA Team GPA rankings and All-America Scholar Athlete honors on Tuesday afternoon. West Chester was well represented once again, earning a spot on the team GPA list with a 3.6 team GPA on the year, while 16 Golden Rams earned EASTON/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors.

Farrell Stadium as the Golden Rams hosted the WCU Last Chance Invitational on a rainy Friday evening in West Chester. West Chester earned three event victories on Friday night, winning the 100, 800, and 5K in front of its home crowd.
