Based on the model of regional youth orchestras, members of the Liberty Youth Wind Symphony will participate in weekly rehearsals that expose students to outstanding wind band literature in full ensemble and chamber music settings. The Wind Symphony, open to all students through an audition process, rehearses weekly and performs a diverse repertoire including standard band literature, transcriptions, and light concert pieces. The Concert Band, a campus-wide organization open to all students regardless of ability, meets during the Spring semester and offers an inclusive platform for musical expression. With rehearsals twice a week and a focus on modern, multicultural, and standard band literature, the Concert Band culminates its efforts in a captivating end-of-semester performance.
