Chamber Winds; Andrew Yozviak, director Livestream | Program Symphony Basquiat An evening of chamber music featuring the consortium premiere of Kevin Day’s Symphony Basquiat will be presented by Dr. Yozviak and members of the Chamber Wind Ensemble. The West Chester University Chamber Winds is a player pool of approximately 25 musicians that performs a diverse repertoire of music for groups as small as eight performers to as large as 23. The Chamber Winds performs two to three concerts a year on campus and regularly tours in the region and abroad. Recent trips have included performances throughout Italy, in Regensburg, Germany, Salzburg, Austria, Prague, Czech Republic, Vienna, Austria, Oxford, United Kingdom and Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. And Now: A Word From Our Friends Lecture Series Jonathan Ragonese, director Livestream | Program In its second season, the new lecture series will feature one of Pennsylvania’s renowned musicians, drummer Bill Goodwin. Goodwin (b. 1942) is an integral part of the history of jazz, having performed with Bill Evans, Lee Konitz, Dexter Gordon, Joe Williams, Charles Lloyd, George Shearing and a long list of others. Outside of the sphere of improvisation, he recorded with Tom Waits and Jefferson Airplane. His life grew out of show business, and stands as an exemplary creative career. Join him as he plays, converses and shares.
