Men's Golf Finishes Eighth at 2023 PSAC Men's Golf Championships
LEBANON, Pa.- Connor Strine (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) finished fifth individually to help lead the West Chester University men's golf team to an eighth-place finish with a team score of 973 (328, 327, 318) at the 2023 edition of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men's Golf Championships. Timothy Pieters and Millersville used their Saturday night leads to remain atop the leaderboard, sweeping the Individual and Team Titles on Sunday evening at Iron Valley.
Strine earned First Team All-Conference honors with this finish and was one of three Golden Rams to sign for an 80 or better on Sunday afternoon as he fired a +3 over 75, finishing the weekend at +13 over with a 54-hole score of 229 (73 81, 75), while Ryan D'Ariano (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) fired a 79, finishing the Championships at +27 (85, 79, 79; 243), and Jacob Sokalsky (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) finished at +31 with a final-round 80 (84, 83, 80; 247). Strine played consistent golf on Sunday afternoon, carding his lone birdie of the afternoon on the par-five third, and did well the rest of the afternoon to climb into the top five on the individual leaderboard.

Strine finished his Tournament with a 36-hole score of 146 after shooting a 72 in the opening round on Monday and a 74 on Tuesday, which included birdies on the par-four sixth and the par-five 11th.
