West Chester battled throughout the night and ended the evening with a +13 (21-8) lead in shots, but it was Millersville, who emerged victorious, defeating the Golden Rams by a 2-1 final on Wednesday night.

Both teams battled through rainy conditions throughout the first half and the final minutes of the second half, but goals were aplenty as the match ended in a 3-3 draw after an 89th-minute goal by the visiting Mavericks.

- Women's Volleyball Holds off Bowie State in 3-2 VictoryBOWIE, Md.- Abiah Lane (Ardmore, Pa./Lower Merion) and Julia Kwitchoff (Niagara Falls, N.Y./Niagara Wheatfield) recorded 14 kills each to lead the West Chester University women's volleyball team (7-1) to a 3-2 victory over Bowie State (1-7) on Tuesday night in Maryland. West Chester captured the first two sets by 25-19 and 25-23 finals before dropping the third and fourth sets by 25-21 and 28-26 finals to force a five-set match for the second time in the last four matches. The fifth set was tight throughout, but West Chester emerged victorious, winning by a 15-13 final to capture the match by a 3-2 final.

West Chester fired a 313 on day one and shot a 305 on day two to finish with a two-day score of 618, 25 strokes clear of Adelphi in second place.
