BEDFORD, Pa.- Connor Strine (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) shot an even-par 72 second round to climb from a tie for 19th after the first round to a tie for fifth, finishing the Pitt-Johnstown Bedford Invitational with a 36-hole score of 153 (+9). Strine, Ryan D'Ariano (West Chester, Pa./Rustin), Evan Jozwiak (Sinking Spring, Pa./Wilson), and Jacob Sokalsky (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) all climbed up the leaderboard on day two as D'Ariano moved into 10th, while Jozwiak and Sokalsky moved into ties for 16th and 22nd, respectively.
This strong second-round performance by much of the Golden Ram lineup saw West Chester shoot a second-round 301, a 25-stroke improvement over its first-round effort to finish third in the team standings, trailing only UPJ and IUP.
Strine was impressive in the final round of the regular season on Tuesday, carding birdies on the par-three second, par-four sixth, and par-five 16th to finish his second-round even par and remain at nine-over for the Championship.
