SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - West Chester University is completing it's final preparations in advance of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which start Friday and runs through Sunday inside Seth Grove Stadium on the campus of Shippensburg University.
Coming off all-conference honors from the indoor season in the 60 and 200, Lily Palacio-Lewis (Warwick, Pa./Elizabethtown) enters as the seventh seed in the 100-meters, clocking a time of 12.09 seconds while also entering as the seventh seed in the 200m in a time of 25.10 seconds.
Kristina Tapia (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) comes in seeded 14th in the conference in the 5000m in a time of 18 minutes and 12.39 seconds.
Josey George (Oxford, Ga./Walnut Grove) comes in seeded sixth in the conference in the steeplechase with a time of 12:03.14 and she comes in seeded 23rd in the conference running 18:29.40 in the 5000m.
The 4x100m relay quartet of Gabrielle Curtis (Harrisburg, Pa./C.D. East), Katja Larsen (Spring City, Pa./Owen J. Roberts), Genevieve McDonald (Elizabethtown, Pa./Elizabethtown), and Lily Palacio-Lewis (Lititz, Pa./Warwick) comes into the conference seeded fifth having just run 47.78 at Penn Relays last weekend. Palacio-Lewis and Curtis were a part of the 4x100 relay team last outdoor season that placed third at PSAC's at Slippery Rock University earning them all-conference honors.
The quartet come in seeded 11th in the 4x400 relay having just run 4:07.73 at Penn Relays.
Jade Salmon (Rochester, N.Y./Gates Chili) comes into the conference seeded 20th in the high jump with a mark of 5 feet, 1 inch. She looks to continue her streak of making the podium as she placed sixth in the event at the indoor and outdoor conference championships in 2023.
In the Pole Vault, Annika Hummel (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Mechanicsburg) comes into the conference seeded third with a mark of 11-9.75. Last year at the 2023 PSAC Championships, she placed fifth in the event and looks to continue her success going into the conference meet.
Kaylie Groff (Palmyra, Pa. Palmyra) comes into the conference seeded eighth with a mark of 11-8.5".
Emily Donegan (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) comes in seeded 14th with a mark of 10-10".
Katie Pieslak (Yardley, Pa./ Pennsbury) comes into the conference seeded tenth in the triple jump with a mark of 36-4.75.
Kayla Lockburner (Hillsborough, N.J. Hillsborough) comes into the conference seeded 16th in the javelin throw with a mark of 118-7.
Amanda Marquis (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) comes into the conference seeded 15th in the heptathlon having tallied 3,453 points from the Messiah Multi Invitational meet earlier in the season.
