EDINBORO, Pa.- Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) finished fifth in 24 minutes and 56 seconds to help lead the West Chester University men's cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the PSAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday morning. Miller was one of two Golden Rams in the top-10 as he was joined by Jason Vogt (Southampton, Pa./William Tennent) in 10th in 25:23.7.
These top-10 finishes, coupled with strong performances by the remainder of the Golden Ram lineup, helped West Chester record its best finish at a PSAC Championship under Director of Cross Country and Track and Field, Colin Leak, and record what is believed to be the best team finish since its Championship in 1971. It bears noting that details regarding West Chester's potential participation in the PSAC Championships from 1972-80 are not available in the PSAC Digital archives.
West Chester finished just six points out of third place (Kutztown; 94)and just 22 out of second (East Stroudsburg; 78) while Shippensburg won the team title with a score of 40.
