Women's Golf Competes at ESU Spring Invitational

STROUDSBURG, Pa.- The West Chester University women's golf team returned to the course for its final Tournament of the regular season on Saturday afternoon at Glen Brook Golf Club for the ESU Spring Invitational. Although complete results were not immediately available, West Chester placed third on the team leaderboard, trailing only Kutztown (323) and Millersville (324) for the top two spots, led by an 80 by Cierra Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring-Ford) to finish fourth as all six Golden Rams competing shot 85 or better on Saturday afternoon.
Griffith led the charge with an eight-over 80 on Saturday afternoon, while Molly Gregor (Huntingdon Valley, Pa./Gwynedd Mercy Academy) and Morgan Kunze (Limerick, Pa./Spring-Ford) were close behind with 10-over 82's as they each finished in a tie for eighth. Kirsten Vanderhorst (Gambrills, Md./Bishop McNamara) fired an 84 to finish 15th, while Josephine Genuardi (Harleysville, Pa./William Penn) shot an 85 to finish 18th and round out the Golden Rams competing in the team lineup.
Margaux Solis (Houston, Tx./Klein) was also in action on Saturday afternoon, shooting a nine-over 81 to finish in a tie for fifth, competing as an individual in a final tuneup ahead of the PSAC Championships at Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown at the end of next week.
