Full Release
PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- The Philadelphia Sports Information Directors Association (PhillySIDA) released its Women's Soccer Academic All-Area team on Tuesday morning, and Kiley Kergides (Rydal, Pa./Germantown Academy) was honored as one of 12 players on the Academic All-Area team.
Kergides was the lone Golden Ram recognized by the Association on Tuesday morning and was one of four Division II players to be recognized by the Sports Information Directors of the Greater Philadelphia Area. This is the second Academic honor of the year for Kergides as the 2022 Academic All-American was also named to the CSC Academic All-District team earlier in the year.
On the field, Kergides turned in another stellar season, appearing in all 23 games with 23 starts and logging 2052 minutes, which was the most of any field player on the team. The senior defender scored her lone goal of the year on September 6 at Shippensburg and added assists against Jefferson on August 31 and Shippensburg on October 11 to finish the year with four points to her name. Defensively, the senior did a tremendous job on the backline for West Chester once again, helping guide the Golden Rams back to the Atlantic Regional Championship game, limiting opponents to an average of just 0.78 goals per game and just over five shots per goal per game.
