Penn State Too Much for West Chester, 57-10

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA - Penn State University defeated visiting West Chester, 57-10, in a non-conference women's rugby contest Saturday afternoon.

Faith Morley and Camryn Snow each registered trys for West Chester (2-5). Morley posted her try in the 30th minute to halt a 20-0 run by the Nittany Lions just before halftime. Snow broke through on a 50-meter run for her first career try in the 50th minute that pulled the Golden Rams to within 30-10. It also marked the first time in eight meetings that West Chester scored twice in a contest against Penn State. It was the first time they posted two trys in a game against the Nittany Lions since 2007.

Penn State closed out the match with five trys over the next 30 minutes to bring the final to 57-10.

West Chester will travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., for the semifinals of the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA) Tier II Championships next Saturday at 10 a.m.
