LOCK HAVEN, PA – West Chester University seniors Hannah Stanislawczyk (Mohnton, Pa./Gov. Mifflin) and Grace Frasso (Cinnaminson, N.J./Cinnaminson) were named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Eastern Division Offensive and Defensive Athlete of the Week, respectively, by the conference Tuesday afternoon.

Stanislawczyk takes home the award for the fourth time in the last five weeks and the fifth time overall while Frasso earned her first weekly honor. Though it is the second week in a row that a West Chester player has won Defensive Athlete of the Week.

Stanislawczyk is the first Golden Rams player honored in the national weekly awards this spring. She scored 16 goals and assisted on two others for 18 points in a pair of wins last week. She also added six ground balls, eight draw controls and one caused turnovers. She was 6-for-9 on free position attempts.

Stanislawczyk scored six goals and finished with eight points in a critical win over No. 11 ESU. She scored five straight goals, allowing WCU to open up a 10-7 lead in the third quarter - its largest of the contest to that point - and the Golden Rams never trailed again. Against Shepherd, Stanislawczyk scored a career-high 10 goals on 11 shots. She also had six draw controls in the game. Stanislawczyk scored three goals in a little over three minutes during the third quarter that helped the visitors turn a 14-9 game into a 17-10 contest heading into the fourth.

The All-American midfielder has 282 goals in her illustrious career and is just 17 shy of the school record. If she breaks the school record, she would become just the fourth women's lacrosse player in Division II history to eclipse 300 career goals.

Frasso registered nine ground balls and caused six turnovers in a pair of wins last week, including a 13-9 victory over No. 11 East Stroudsburg. She also picked up a draw control as well. Frasso was mainly responsible for marking ESU's Emily Mitarotonda … who entered the game sixth all-time in goal scoring in Division II history.

Frasso held Mitarotonda without a goal in a game for the first time in Mitarotonda's career - breaking a 71-game goal-scoring streak in the process. Mitarotonda finished the game with just one assist. Frasso finished with six ground balls and five caused turnovers in the win over ESU. She had three ground balls, one caused turnover and one draw control against Shepherd.

West Chester heads to Kutztown on Wednesday afternoon for a 4 p.m. conference match against the 10th-ranked Golden Bears.
