Stanislawczyk Cops Pair of Athlete of the Week Honors
LOCK HAVEN, PA - Sr., midfielder Hannah Stanislawczyk (Mohnton, Pa./Gov. Mifflin) was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division athlete of the week in women's lacrosse as well as national offensive player of the week by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) it was announced Tuesday afternoon. It marks the second consecutive week that the high-scoring middie has copped conference weekly honors
Stanislawczyk showed her versatility by scoring eight goals and assisting on seven others in leading West Chester to a 16-7 win over No. 15 Kutztown and a 20-5 win over Shepherd. She also collected 12 draw controls while breaking WCU's all-time record for career draws on Saturday. The midfielder also filled out the stat sheet with six ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Though it is the second straight week for her PSAC East accolades, Stanislawczyk was named national offensive player of the week for the first time. She is the first Golden Rams women's lacrosse player to be recognized nationally this spring.
West Chester returns to action on Wednesday when the Golden Rams travel to Millersville for a PSAC East showdown with the Marauders.
