Hannah Stanislawczyk Named IWLCA Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week in Division II

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS – West Chester University senior Hannah Stanislawczyk (Mohnton, Pa./Gov. Mifflin) was named the Division II Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Tuesday afternoon.

NORTHBOROUGH, MASS – West Chester University senior Hannah Stanislawczyk (Mohnton, Pa./Gov. Mifflin) was named the Division II Co-Offensive Athlete of the Week by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Tuesday afternoon.

Stanislawczyk, the first Golden Rams player honored in the national weekly awards this spring, shares this week's honor with Sophi Wrisk (Tampa). She scored 16 goals and assisted on two others for 18 points in a pair of wins last week. She also added six ground balls, eight draw controls and one caused turnovers. She was 6-for-9 on free position attempts.

Stanislawczyk scored six goals and finished with eight points in a critical win over No. 11 ESU. She scored five straight goals, allowing WCU to open up a 10-7 lead in the third quarter - its largest of the contest to that point - and the Golden Rams never trailed again. Against Shepherd, Stanislawczyk scored a career-high 10 goals on 11 shots. She also had six draw controls in the game. Stanislawczyk scored three goals in a little over three minutes during the third quarter that helped the visitors turn a 14-9 game into a 17-10 contest heading into the fourth.

The All-American midfielder has 282 goals in her illustrious career and is just 17 shy of the school record. If she breaks the school record, she would become just the fourth women's lacrosse player in Division II history to eclipse 300 career goals.

West Chester heads to Kutztown on Wednesday afternoon for a 4 p.m. conference match against the 10th-ranked Golden Bears.
