Women's Golf Finishes Second at Millersville Spring Invitational; Vanderhorst Places Second Individually

QUARRYVILLE, Pa.- Kirsten Vanderhorst (Gambrills, Md./Bishop McNamara) shot an 11-over 83 to finish second individually and helped lead the West Chester University women's golf team to a second-place finish at the Millersville Spring Invitational at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club in Quarryville on Saturday afternoon. Vanderhorst was one of three Golden Rams in the top 10 and one of two in the top five as Cierra Griffith (Pottstown, Pa./Spring-Ford) shot an 86 (+14) to finish fourth, while Josephine Genuardi (Harleysville, Pa./William Penn) was ninth with an 89 (+17). West Chester finished with a team score of 351, just six strokes back of team champion Millersville, led by individual Champion Charley Kirby, who fired a 10-over 82 to claim the title.
