NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Three different players scored to lead No. 6 West Chester to a 3-0 victory over host New Haven in the 2023 season finale at Ralph DellaCamera Stadium Friday night.

West Chester (10-7) reached double digits in victories for the 12th consecutive year in its Division II era as well as head coach Amy Cohen's tenure with its win over New Haven (5-13).

Junior forward Jasmine Miller (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) capped her breakout year with her conference-best 18th goal of the season nine minutes into the game. Caitlin Szarko (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty) made it 2-0 three minutes before halftime, and Paige Wolfe (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) scored an insurance tally in the third quarter. Emerie Loftis (Glen Allen, Va./Trinity Episcopal) and Alina Burger (Konigs Wuersterhausen, Brandenburg, Germany) combined on the shutout in the cage. Loftis made two saves in the first half.

West Chester was officially eliminated from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) postseason tournament earlier in the day when Bloomsburg defeated Slippery Rock in its final contest of the regular season.
