Eleven Golden Rams Named to NFHCA Academic Squad

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — Eleven Golden Rams were named to the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) national academic squad it was announced Wednesday.
 
Morgan Becker (West Chester, Pa./West Chester East), Sofia Brown (Broomall, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara), Alina Burger (Koenigs Wusterhausen, Brandenburg, Germany), Millie Gallagher (Birmingham, England/Solihull School), Emerie Loftis (Glen Allen, Va./Trinity), Adriana Palumbo (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford), Allison Patel (Mickelton, N.J./Kingsway Regional), Mikenna Price (Henryville, Pa./Pocono Mountain East), Isabella Shute (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South), Cameron Smith (Lewes, Del./Cape Henlopen) and Paige Wolfe (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) were all recognized for their tremendous work in the classroom.
 
The NFHCA proudly acknowledges the exceptional achievements of 383 undergraduate student-athletes from 34 nominating institutions, each earning a coveted spot on the 2023 Division II National Academic Squad. Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program reveres the academic excellence of undergraduate collegiate student-athletes.
 
This esteemed recognition is granted to individuals who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or higher through the fall semester of the current academic year, as nominated by their dedicated NFHCA member coaches.
 
Furthermore, 61 student-athletes have earned the honor for the fourth consecutive time, including two Golden Rams – Cameron Smith and Paige Wolfe.
 
The NFHCA will hand out its team academic awards next Wednesday.
