LOCK HAVEN, PA – Five West Chester Golden Rams appeared on the 2023 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) all-league squad it was announced on Wednesday afternoon. Two Golden Rams were first team selections while three others were third team picks.

Senior forward Paige Wolfe (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) was a repeat first-team selection while fellow forward, junior Jasmine Miller (Millersville, Pa./Penn Manor) was the other first-teamer moving up from the second team nod she received after last year. Junior midfielder Adriana Palumbo (West Deptford, N.J./West Deptford), sophomore defender Elle Shockley (Delmar, Del./Delmar) and freshman midfielder, Gianna Funari (Vorhees, N.J./Bishop Eustace) each made their initial appearances on the all-league squad.

Wolfe filled nearly every possible role a field player can during the 2023 campaign. She started the season in the midfield helping out on both offense and defense. She was integral in transition while clearing the ball and wound up leading the squad in assists with twice as many as the second place individual. Towards the end of the year, Wolfe made the move back to her more natural position at forward and scored four goals over West Chester's final 10 games, including one in each of the last two contests of the year. Her versatility made her the most valuable field player for head coach Amy Cohen. Wolfe finished second on the team in points with 14 and scored one game-winning tally.

Miller led the team PSAC in goals (18), game-winning goals (6) and was third in points (37). Her 18 tallies also tied for the most in all of Division II while her 1.06 goals per game ranks third nationally. Among her six game-winning goals were a pair in overtime. She was the Golden Rams' most formidable offensive weapon up top.

Palumbo led all field players in minutes on the pitch this past fall. She finished the year with three goals, two assists and eight points while starting all 17 games for the Golden Rams. She ran the middle of the field distributing the ball and orchestrating the offense.

Shockley was the glue to West Chester's defense all fall. She appeared in every game, but one due to a wrist injury, and recorded a defensive save on the season. Offensively, she was part of the Golden Rams' penalty corner team and registered two goals and one assist in that capacity. Her ability to compensate for mistakes in the back helped West Chester eliminate many scoring opportunities by opponents.

Funari was a starter from day one in Coach Cohen's midfield. She held that starting role all season long making the leap from high school to college rather seamlessly. She posted a pair of assists and recorded a defensive save in her first college campaign.

West Chester missed qualifying for the PSAC Tournament for the first time since re-classifying to Division II in 2011.
