WCU Cheerleading Squad Finishes Second at UCA Nationals

ORLANDO, FL.- The West Chester cheerleading team was in action at the UCA College National Championships in Orlando over the weekend, and West Chester earned the Silver Medal, placing second in the Open All-Girl Game Day Division.

Finishing as the highest-ranked Division II program in the Nation, West Chester competed in the Semifinals on Friday and was in fourth place after that round before advancing to the Finals on Saturday afternoon and rising to second place in the 24-team standings with a score of 95.9 and zero deductions.
This Silver-Medal finish is an improvement over the team's top-five finish from a season ago, which saw the Golden Rams record their third top-10 and the first top-five finish in program history.
