Men's Track & Field Competes at 128th Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA - The West Chester men's track & field squad returned to action on Friday evening at the 128th running of the Penn Relays inside Historic Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania.

PHILADELPHIA - The West Chester men's track & field squad returned to action on Friday evening at the 128th running of the Penn Relays inside Historic Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania. The 4x100 relay team composed of

Nick Tran (Lancaster, Pa./Conestoga Valley), Josh Farrell (Bethlehem, Pa./ Liberty),  Amarre Mayo (Newtown, Pa./ Council Rock North), and  Drew Gallen (West Chester, Pa./Rustin) placed seventh overall in prelims with a time of 42.61 seconds.

The 4x400 team of Farrell, Tran, Tek Leaf (Doylestown, Pa./Central Bucks West) and Jack Wasserman (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) ran a time of 3 minutes, 27.68 seconds for a 12th place finish.

Will Rivers (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) finished fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 47 feet, 1 ¾ inches (14.60 meters). West Chester returns to action tomorrow for day three of the Penn Relays as the 4x100 relay team runs at 4:55 p.m. tomorrow after qualifying for the Eastern final round.
