Connor Noble Earns Preseason Plaudit From D2Football.com Watch List

– West Chester University R-Sr. MLB Connor Noble (Chester Springs, Pa./Downingtown East) was named to D2Football.com's Elite 100 preseason second team squad it was announced Sunday.Noble is the first Golden Ram to appear on D2Football's Elite 100 List since Jackson Taylor earned consecutive honors in 2021 and 2022. Taylor was a postseason honoree on both occasions. However, Noble's nod is the first preseason recognition.
The Elite 100 Watch List was selected by the staff of D2Football.com with the input of numerous sitting head coaches as well as professional football scouting veteran Josh Buchanan. The team includes first and second team selections for offense, defense and special teams along with 25 "squad" players for offense and defense. Squad players are equivalent to "honorable mention" selections in similar national recognition lists.
Noble, who returns for his final college season, is a two-time honorable mention All-American by Don Hansen Football Gazette Magazine and a two-time finalist for the Cliff Harris Award given to the top Division II defensive player of the year. His 117 tackles last fall led the team and ranked second in the PSAC overall while his 79 assisted tackles ranked second in the PSAC and is third-most in a single season in school history.
Noble and the rest of his teammates open camp later this week under the guidance of second-year head coach Duke Greco. The Golden Rams were picked to finish third in the PSAC East preseason coaches poll.
West Chester opens its 2025 slate on the road at Bentley University on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 12 p.m. The Golden Rams' home opener is Sept. 20 against Seton Hill University.
