Golden Rams Compete in Day One of PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- The women's track and field team wrapped up day one of the PSAC Championships on Friday night at Shippensburg University.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- The women's track and field team wrapped up day one of the PSAC Championships on Friday night at Shippensburg University.
 
 Amanda Marquis (Bridgeville, Pa./South Fayette) was the lone competitor for the Golden Rams as she finished day one of the heptathlon. The sophomore currently stands in 15th place with 2,173 points heading into tomorrow. In the 200-meter dash, the sophomore crossed the finish line in 26.71 seconds. In the 100-meter hurdles, she placed 16th with a time of 16.97 seconds. In the high jump, she cleared a height of 4 feet 4 ¾ inches for 15th place. In the shot put, she threw for a mark of 25-8 for 16th place. Marquis will finish day two of the heptathlon tomorrow competing in the long jump, javelin throw, and 800-meter dash.
 
West Chester is back in action tomorrow for day two of the PSAC Championships.
