WEST CHESTER, PA.- The West Chester women's tennis team (6-9) played its second home match of the week, falling to West Virginia Wesleyan (13-9) by a 4-2 final on Friday afternoon. West Chester held an early lead in the match after winning doubles and first singles but fell by a 4-2 final in a rain-shortened match.
 
Pairs Delaney Tingle (Charlotte, N.C./Palm Desert High) / Tori Alexander (Norristown, PA/Spring-Ford) and Sohana Thompson(Fairfield, OH/The Seven Hills School) / Ashleigh Grooms (Newport, Ky/The Summit Country Day School) gave the Golden Rams a strong start to the match as they would lead 1-0 after the doubles contest.
 
Tingle won her singles match giving the hosts a 2-0 lead. However, the visiting bobcats would not leave without a fight; winning each of the next four singles matches to take a 4-2 lead over the Golden Rams. West Chester led in the sixth singles spot, holding a 4-0 lead in the decisive third set, which would've cut the deficit to 4-3 but the match was called due to rain prior to completion.
