WEST CHESTER, PA.- The West Chester women's tennis team (6-8, 4-0) made a winning return to South Campus as the Golden Rams swept East Stroudsburg (1-8, 0-3) by a 7-0 final on Tuesday afternoon.
Pairs Sohana Thompson (Fairfield, OH/The Seven Hills School) / Ashleigh Grooms (Newport, Ky/The Summit Country Day School) and Rachel Haupt (York, PA/Central York) / Ellie Perrin (Chalfont, PA/C.B. South) won their doubles matches, which along with a win by default at third doubles gave West Chester an early 1-0 lead in the match.
West Chester made short work of its visitors in singles action, winning sixth singles by default and winning four of five matches by 6-0, 6-0 finals. The lone exception was fifth singles, which the Golden Rams won by a 6-2, 6-0 final to roll to the 7-0 victory over the Warriors.
