Men's Track and Field Finishes 10th at PSAC Outdoor Championships

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – The West Chester University men's track and field squad concluded its stay at the 2024 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday afternoon, finishing 10th in the team standings with 12.5 points. Derrick Lukomski-Pizzo (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), Devon Carlson-Swank (Elliotsburg, Pa./Connections Charter), and Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) all registered podium finishes to lead West Chester at the final day of the Championships.

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.
 – The West Chester University men's track and field squad concluded its stay at the 2024 PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Sunday afternoon, finishing 10th in the team standings with 12.5 points. Derrick Lukomski-Pizzo (Newtown, Pa./Council Rock North), Devon Carlson-Swank (Elliotsburg, Pa./Connections Charter), and Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) all registered podium finishes to lead West Chester at the final day of the Championships.

Lukomski-Pizzo added to an already successful weekend placing eight in the shot put with a personal best throw of 49 feet 9 inches, once again making the podium.  
Thomas Smith (Wallingford, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) placed 19th in the shot put with a throw of 38-6 ¾.

Devon Carlson-Swank (Elliotsburg, Pa./Connections Charter) tied for eighth place in the pole vault, clearing a height of 14-1 ¾ for a spot on the podium as well.
 
In the triple jump, Chase Parkinson (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) placed 14th with a leap of 44-8 ¾.
 
In the 5000m run, Josh Miller (Coatesville, Pa./Coatesville) placed seventh, crossing the line at 15:08.93, securing a podium finish. Jason Vogt (Southampton, Pa./ William Tennent) placed 20th, crossing the line at 15:55.83.
 
The 4x400m relay team placed 10th, crossing the finish line at 3:25.07.
