Burnshaw Finishes Fourth at Messiah Multi's
GRANTHAM, PA - West Chester sophomore David Burnshaw (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) finished in fourth place in the decathlon at the Messiah Multi's on Friday night, scoring 5,212 points after securing first place victories in the javelin throw and 400-meter dash.
On day one of the Messiah Multi Meet, the sophomore placed fourth in the 100-meter dash with a personal best time of 11.66 seconds. In the long jump, he placed fifth with a personal best mark of 20 feet and 5 inches. In the shot put he threw for a mark of 29-6. In the high jump he cleared a personal best height of 5-1 for eighth. To conclude the first day, he was victorious in the 400-meter dash with a time of 51.96.
On day two, Burnshaw placed sixth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.17. He then placed seventh in the discus throw with a mark of 79-01. Burnshaw placed fourth in the pole vault, clearing a height of 10-6. Burnshaw registered a personal best throw of 149-09 for first in the Javelin Throw. To conclude his day, Burnshaw ran at 5:07.61 on a 1500-meter run.

The Golden Rams will be back in action at home tomorrow, Saturday, April 13th, for the Bill Butler Invitational. At this event, which has been designated "The Hidden Opponent Mental Health Meet," the Golden Rams will also help spread mental health awareness.
