- Softball Picks up Split at Bloomsburg, Wins Season Series Over HuskiesBLOOMSBURG, Pa.- Madison Melvin (Tabernacle, N.J./Seneca) picked up four hits to tie Bri Garber's PSAC career hit record (320), while Katelyn Rittenbaugh (Donaldson, Pa./Pine Grove) logged three hits of her own to help West Chester (27-18, 15-11) to a doubleheader split at Bloomsburg (27-16, 14-10) on Saturday afternoon. West Chester dropped game one by a 4-3 final before rolling to a 6-2 victory in game two of the twinbill to split the doubleheader and win the season series 3-1 over the Huskies.
- Softball Drops Pair at No. 14 East StroudsburgSTROUDSBURG, Pa.-Winners of six of its last eight and three in a row, the West Chester University softball team (26-17, 14-10) took to the road on Friday afternoon to square off against No. 14 East Stroudsburg (36-12, 19-8) in a key battle not only for positioning in the PSAC East but also in the Atlantic Region, as the season nears its final week. West Chester led for much of the day in game one but fell victim to a late-game comeback, falling by a 4-3 final before dropping the nightcap by a 5-1 final.
