Demesy, Diez and Coach Mazurek Sweep PSAC Swimming Major Awards
LOCK HAVEN, PA – After winning its 38th PSAC Championship, the West Chester University men's swimming and diving squad swept the PSAC Postseason awards for the second straight year as Paul Demesy (Saint Ulrich, France) won his third Athlete of the Year award, Marti Rosell Diez (L'Albiol, Spain) walked away with Rookie of the Year honors, and head coach Steve Mazurek was named the loop's Coach of the Year.
Demesy Captures Another All-America Citation in 1650 Freestyle; Diez Honorable Mention
EVANSVILLE, IND – Senior distance swimmer, Paul Demesy (Saint Ulrich, France) closed out his incredible college career with an All-America certificate in the 1650-yard freestyle Saturday evening on the final day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships inside the Deaconess Aquatic Center. Freshman Marti Rosell Diez (L'Albiol, Spain) placed 13th as well for an honorable mention citation.
Diez Finishes 8th in 500-Yard Freestyle; Demesy 10th
EVANSVILLE, IN – Freshman Marti Rosell Diez (L'Albiol, Spain) swam the 500-yard freestyle in 4 minute, 25.32 seconds and placed eighth in the 'A' Final during the evening session of the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving National Championships Friday. Senior Paul Demesy (Saint Ulrich, France) was 10th overall after placing second in the 'B' Final.
Diez Finishes 27th in 200-Yard Freestyle
EVANSVILLE, IN – Freshman Marti Rosell Diez (L'Albiol, Spain) swam the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 38.13 seconds during the morning prelims of the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving National Championships Thursday.
Demesy Sets Conference and School Record, Finishes Fourth in the 1000 Free
EVANSVILLE, IN – Senior distance swimmer, Paul Demesy (Saint Ulrich, France) set a new Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) and school record while finishing fourth in the 1000-yard freestyle on the second day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving National Championships.
