Men's Tennis Falls to Frostburg State in Regular-Season Finale
WEST CHESTER, PA.- The West Chester men's tennis team (2-14) played its final match of the season falling to Frostburg State (7-11) by a 5-2 final. The Golden Rams earned points from Felix Weber (Wolfenbuettel, Germany/IMG Academy) and Aidan Cashin (Mount Laruel, NJ/Lenape) in the singles portion of the match.
In doubles play, Lucas Henke (Rockwall, Tx./Rockwall-Heath) and Andres Urrutia (Guatemala City, Guatemala/ APDE SOLALTO HS) were victorious in the second doubles spot winning 6-3. The host Golden Rams unfortunately fell short in both the first and third doubles spots giving the visitors the crucial doubles point.
Coming from a 1-0 deficit, the Golden Rams looked to mount a comeback in singles action. Frostburg State quelled any notion of a West Chester comeback by earning wins at the first, second, and third singles spot claiming the match 4-0 before Cashin and Weber got West Chester on the scoreboard with a pair of victories.
