WASHINGTON, D.C.- After going 1-1 a day ago, the West Chester University women's rugby team returned to action on Sunday morning for the second day of the Collegiate Rugby 7's Championships. West Chester again went 1-1 on the day, falling to Penn State in the Plate Semifinals before defeating Notre Dame College (Ohio) by a 19-0 final in the 7th-8th place game to finish the Tournament with a record of 2-2 in seventh in the Premiere Cup Division.

In its first match of the day against a familiar Penn State side, West Chester was down just a try at halftime, but the Nittany Lions capitalized on a few miscues by the Golden Rams in the second half to earn a 19-0 victory and advance to the Cup Finals.

West Chester returned to action a short time later against NDC, posting a dominant 19-0 victory over the Falcons to finish the Tournament at 2-2 and take seventh overall. Camryn Snow (Exton, Pa./West Chester East), Brooke Crago (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area), and senior Faith Morley (Glenmoore, Pa./Downingtown West) all scored trys in the victory, with the try by Morley having a little extra meaning for the Golden Rams as she played in her final game at WCU.

Elly Gorham (Alexandria, Va./Hayfield Secondary) successfully kicked a pair of conversions to help the Golden Rams top the Falcons.

This Tournament brings the Golden Rams 7s season to its conclusion; West Chester finishes its Spring season with a record of 8-10 and its third consecutive appearance at the Collegiate Rugby 7's National Championships.
