Roth Named to Ping All-Region Team
NORMAN, Okla. – Paul-Arthur Roth (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) finished his rookie season with an NCAA Division II/Ping All-Atlantic Region honor as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) on Tuesday afternoon.
West Chester Men Finish 9th at NCAA East/Atlantic Regional
JOHNSTOWN, Pa.- Finishing its first team Regional Championship appearance since 2022 and its first under head coach Chris Merce, West Chester University men's golf fired a final round of 296 to place ninth at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championships at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown with a 54-hole score of 884 (295, 293, 296). Yamato Kimura (Kuwana Mie, Japan/Monteverde Academy) fired a team-best final round of 73 to finish in a tie for 22nd at +7 (73, 71, 73; 217), while Will Hilton (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) finished in a tie for 25th at +8 (70, 74, 74; 218), including a four-over 74 in his final round of the Regional Tournament.
Men's Golf Climbs into Tie for Seventh After Second Round at NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championships
JOHNSTOWN, Pa.- Yamato Kimura (Kuwana Mie, Japan/Monteverde Academy) made the biggest move of any Golden Ram on Friday as he shot a one-over 71, including a one-under 34 on the back nine to climb 16 spots into a tie for 14th alongside Will Hilton (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) after 36 holes at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown. West Chester shot a 293 on day two, two strokes better than its first round of 295 to climb from a tie for 11th into a tie for seventh (588; 295, 293), and the Golden Rams remain just eight strokes out of the third and final team transfer spot to the National Championships heading into the final round on Saturday.
Men's Golf Tied for 11th After Opening Round of NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championships
JOHNSTOWN, Pa.-Will Hilton (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) carded four birdies in his opening round, including the par-four third, fourth, and 17th, along with the par-five 11th, to lead the West Chester University men's golf team on the first day of the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Golf Championships at Sunnehanna Country Club. Hilton is tied for sixth on the individual leaderboard with an even-par opening round of 70, while West Chester is tied for 11th on the team leaderboard with an opening round of 295, just six strokes out of a tie for third and seven out of solo third, which would allow the Golden Rams to transfer to the National Championships.
Men's Golf Set for NCAA Atlantic/East Regional at Sunnehanna Country Club this Weekend
JOHNSTOWN, Pa.- The West Chester University men's golf team is preparing for the opening round of the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional Championships at Sunnehanna Country Club in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, with the first tee time of the day for the Golden Rams being Nathan Radwanski at 11 a.m. Radwanski will be the first of five Golden Rams off the first tee in the 11 o'clock hour as William Hilton will follow at 11:10, Paul-Arthur Roth at 11:20, Patrick Carl at 11:30, and Yamato Kimura at 11:40 as the final Golden Ram to hit the course in the opening round.
