- Men's Basketball Falls to #3 Virginia State in Opening Round of NCAA Tournament, 80-64WEST LIBERTY, W.Va.- Playing in its first NCAA Tournament since 2019, the sixth-seeded West Chester University men's basketball team (23-7) was back in action on Saturday afternoon vs third-seeded Virginia State (22-8). Taking on the CIAA Tournament Champion Trojans on a neutral court for the first time in program history, West Chester trailed by 13 at the half and, despite a valiant second-half comeback, fell by an 80-64 final.

- Men's Golf Finishes Third at Davenport Panther InvitationalAUGUSTA, MI.- Yamato Kimura (Kuwana Mie, Japan/Monteverde Academy) shot a two-under 69 on Sunday to climb from 16th into fifth place with a 36-hole score of one-over (74, 69; 143) on the individual leaderboard and help West Chester finish third on the team leaderboard with back-to-back 291s and a 36-hole score of 582 in its final tune-up before the PSAC Championships next weekend.
- Men's Golf First After Opening Round of Davenport InvitationalAUGUSTA, MI.- Paul-Arthur Roth (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) shot an even-par 71 to sit in a tie for fourth on the individual leaderboard and help lead West Chester to an opening round 291, placing the team first on the team leaderboard heading into the final round on Sunday.

West Chester battled throughout the afternoon but fell to the visiting Rams by a 2-1 final on the strength of a late second-half goal by Aaron Sullivan.

- Women's Golf Finishes Sixth at Davenport Panther InvitationalAUGUSTA, MI.- Hanna Lignell (Gothenburg, Sweden/Kitas Gymnasium) shot a second-round 73 to climb from 30th after the opening round into a tie for 10th with a two-day score of nine-over (80, 73; 153) as she helped the Golden Rams finish sixth at the Davenport Panther Invitational with a two-day score of 625 (314, 311). West Chester was three strokes better on Sunday, firing a 311 in the second round to hold its position of sixth on the team leaderboard.

Normally a league clash, this year's matchup between the Golden Rams and Mountaineers will go in the books as a non-league tilt after the Mounties requested a schedule adjustment from the PSAC office due to low roster numbers in 2025.

- Softball Announces Hayley Tamaro as New Top Assistant CoachWEST CHESTER, Pa.- West Chester University softball head coach Diane Lokey announced the hiring of Hayley Tamaro as the Golden Rams top assistant coach ahead of the start of the 2025-26 season. Tamaro replaces Meredith McCalister, who was Lokey's top assistant for the 2024-25 season. Tamaro is expected to help oversee the Golden Rams pitching staff when she begins her role with the team in August.
- Softball Earns EASTON/NFCA Team Academic Award; 21 Golden Rams Recognized as Scholar AthletesLOUISVILLE, Ky.- The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) released its 2024-25 Easton/NFCA Team GPA rankings and All-American Scholar Athlete honors on Thursday afternoon. West Chester was well represented once again, earning a spot on the team GPA list with a 3.637 team GPA, which ranks among the top-35 programs in Division II, while 21 Golden Rams earned Individual honors.
