WEST CHESTER, Pa.- After avoiding its first 0-4 start to the season since 2005-06 with a 90-54 victory over Wilmington on Monday, the West Chester University women's basketball team (1-3) will look to get on a winning streak as the Golden Rams open PSAC Crossover play this weekend at Slippery Rock (2-2) and Edinboro (1-3) on Friday and Saturday. Opening tip on Friday at Slippery Rock is set for 3 p.m., while action gets underway at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Edinboro.

Opening tip is set for 5:30 p.m. on University Avenue. However, fans are encouraged to arrive early as West Chester plans to present a commemorative ball to senior Anna McTamney (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) before the game in celebration of her 1,000th career point earlier this season.

PHILADELPHIA- Anna McTamney (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) scored a game-high 22 points to reach the 1,000-point plateau for her collegiate career, but it was not enough to help the West Chester University women's basketball team (0-3) earn its first win of the young season in a 70-54 setback at Holy Family (3-0) on Thursday night.
