No. 24 Baseball Set to Open PSAC Tournament on Wednesday vs Cal at Millersville
MILLERSVILLE, Pa.- The 24th-ranked West Chester University baseball team (35-14, 17-11) is preparing to write the next chapter of its 2025 season as the Golden Rams head to Millersville on Wednesday evening to open the PSAC Tournament vs California (34-11, 19-8) beginning at 4:30 p.m. Entering the PSAC Tournament as the third seed from the PSAC East, West Chester will face the second seed out of the PSAC West in Cal as the Golden Rams play in the 4:30 game on the opening day of the PSAC Tournament for the third time in as many years.
Baseball Lands Three on All-PSAC East Squad; Strawhecker Named Freshman of the Year
LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- On the eve of the PSAC Tournament getting underway in Millersville, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference has released its PSAC Baseball Major Awards and All-Conference selections. Caleb Strawhecker (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) earned Freshman of the Year honors and three more Golden Rams earned All-League citations as Sean Szestowicki (Mount Royal, N.J./Kingsway) was named to the First Team while Kyle Lazer (Havertown, Pa./Msgr. Bonner & Prendie) and Austin Stalker (Wycombe, Pa./Council Rock North) earned Second Team honors.
No. 22 Baseball Splits with Mansfield on Senior Day
WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The No. 22 West Chester University baseball team (35-14, 17-11) wrapped up its regular season with a senior day split vs Mansfield (14-31, 8-20) as the Golden Rams won the season series 3-1 over the upset-minded Mountaineers. West Chester captured game one by a 6-3 final behind a great complete-game effort from Kyle Lazer (Havertown, Pa./Msgr. Bonner & Prendie) before falling victim to an equally impressive complete game effort in the nightcap, falling to the Mounties by a 3-1 final.
No. 22 Baseball Set to Face Mansfield in Final Series of Regular Season
WEST CHESTER, Pa.- The No. 22 West Chester University baseball team (32-13, 14-10) is preparing for its final weekend series of the year against Mansfield (13-28, 7-17) beginning on Thursday afternoon in Mansfield. West Chester will visit Mansfield for a doubleheader on Thursday before hosting the Mounties on Friday, on what will be both Senior Day and Alumni Day for West Chester ahead of the PSAC Tournament at Millersville next week.
